first snow of 2010

The week before Thanksgiving was the first snow storm of the year and it was perfect snowman-making snow. We had a great time but Carson wanted nothing to do with it. That is him, peering out of his window while we all played in the snow!

Koda's puppies

Yes...Koda had a partially successful litter this year. She had 3 out of 6 puppies survive; 1 boy and 2 girls...all black labs. These are pictures of the boys with the last 2 puppies; the boy puppy sold very fast and we didn't get many pictures of him. The puppies were cute and the boys had fun with them but I was glad to get them sold.

Halloween 2010

This year my boys wanted to be Transformers so Cooper was Bumblebee and Carson was Optimus Prime. Caleb had no choice and got to be the pumpkin...but he sure is a cute one!

Updates...finally!

I have 4 posts that will get me caught up...almost. Hope you enjoy...and thanks for checking my blog faithfully to see what updates have been done.

Thank Heaven for Little boys!

This is what I did in the nursery...I think it is pretty cute. The two blankets are the ones I had made for Caleb since I don't sew at all!

My little man...Caleb

It has been 4 1/2 months since Caleb was born! I can't believe it! I'm sad that I haven't shared my pictures of him with everyone but after spending most of my time at the computer the last thing I want to do is do MORE on the computer! Here are pictures of my Caleb and his big brothers!

Yellowstone

For our anniversary we decided to take the day off and spend it with our boys in Yellowstone. We figured a Monday was a good day to go and we were right! Old Faithful was crazy busy of course but everything else was great. The weather was not too hot and we saw a ton of animals: 1 grizzly bear, 3 deer, 5 elk, and about 100buffalo! We spent about 12 of the 15 hours in the car but the kids did great and I think they had a good time!

8 years ago..."I DO!"

Happy Anniversary to me! I can't believe it has been 8 years since Heath and I got married! It has been a fun 8 years..filled with many memories and changes. The picture of our wedding day and today has changed dramatically (I swear Heath looks the same..can't say the same for me!) What a previlege it is to be Heath's wife and the mother of these 3 beautiful, wonderful boys. I love you Heath, I can't wait to see what happens in the next 8 years!

Caleb James Mitchell

Caleb is finally here! He was born on March 12th at 11:27am after only 5 hours of labor! Contractions started at about 6:30 that morning so I told Heath we needed to go to the hospital instead of him going to his work meeting in Twin Falls that was to last for two days. Typical Heather, I went around the house doing some last minute cleaning and straightening; showering, fixing my hair...so we didn't get to the hospital until 10am. By that time I was dialated to a 7 and there was no way an epidural would have time to work. I got an "interthecal" shot of some kind which may have taken some of the edge of the non-stop contractions but I received very little relief. I am glad that Caleb came as quickly as he did because I was in so much pain I don't think I could have made it much longer without losing my sanity! My doctor was so great and so was Heath...I only told him to quit talking once! Caleb is such a sweet little boy. He weighed in at 7lbs. 8oz. and was 20 1/2 inches long...absolutely perfect! Cooper loves him to death and Carson is a little indifferent...typical Carson. I love my three boys so much...so glad that Caleb is finally here!

Cooper's violin concert

Cooper has been asking for a violin for 2 years now thanks to Quincy on "Little Einsteins." This past Christmas Santa got him one and he started lessons in January. On March 7th he had his first concert in which he played "Hot Cross Buns" and "Mary had a Little Lamb." He did so good and so far is still loving to play. Way to go Cooper!

10 days and counting....

I only have 10 days left! I am so ready to not be pregnant anymore and to see what my little man will be like. I already have a pretty good idea who he will look like! I love my boys and am excited to add this little one to our family! Wish me luck! I'll post again when he gets here!

Bowling...last family outing!

We went bowling last weekend...one last family Hoo-rah before the baby comes. (I didn't bowl, I have a built in bowling ball and I really didn't want to end up going down the lane with the other ball since my center of gravity is a little off!) The boys did great! Cooper is having his 6th birthday at a bowling alley this year and along with the Wii he is brushing up his skills!

Carson's babies

Carson has taken a great interest in babies since we put the crib up in the nursery last month. I have been worried as many things have changed in a short amount of time for him. He was moved into Cooper's room when we put the bunkbeds together (StarWars is the theme instead of Thomas the Train for my big boys) and then changing everything to get ready for "baby". He points to my tummy and says "baby" then goes and grabs his white dog. He found some old bottles in the baby stuff and takes good care of his puppy. He says, "Oh...baby is sad!" then goes and gets his blanket to wrap up the baby and gives him a bottle and puts a pacifier in each of his ears. It is very cute! I love that he is being so sweet! Hopefully it carries over to the real baby when he gets here!

The Boys project

I am trying to be a more "hands-on" mom with the kids. I haven't done very good in the past; my only excuse is trying to balance working from home and keeping up with everyday things has kept me busy. Not a very good excuse, I know. I took the opportunity to let the boys do some painting when I was doing somethings for the nursery (pictures of that to come!). They each picked out a bus to paint and here they are...what masterpieces.

Valentine's Day

I have been trying to scale back this year with the "little holidays" like Valentine's Day becuase I like any excuse to buy little things for my boys. This year they got masks and guns...every boys favorite toy...to play cops and robbers or cowboys and indians! Coooper is getting into the "posing" phase; do you like it?

Where's Grandpa Dean?

The boys are lucky that they have grandparents that live so close. I wish I had that growing up so I try and take advantage of the times that grandmas and grandpas want to visit or take the boys (I don't do as well as I should in this area). One Friday my mom and dad came to see the boys and grandpa certainly took advantage of the opportunity to wrestle with Coop and Carson. Look close...grandpa's face is right under Carson's bum...a dangerous place to be! We love you Grandpa!

Random pictures of my boys!

I love my boys and I am getting anxious to be adding the 3rd to the mix...what am I thinking? Here are just some pictures I thought were cute and wanted to share.

I love you Cooper and Carson!

Christmas

I know...only 3 months late. My philosophy...better late than never. Here is our Christmas in pictures. The boys got absolutely spoiled again! I can't help it! Plus, 3 sets of grandparents doesn't hurt either. Cooper got a violin that he has been asking for for 2 years now. He has been taking lessons since January and is doing really well. He has his first concert on Sunday. Hopefully he didn't inherit my horrible stage fright! He will do great! Carson got Mickey Mouse toys and he was content to open one present and just play. Cooper wanted to open every single present under the tree. I love that excitement on Christmas Day! It makes me feel like a kid again!
